Michele Tedesco Biography
Trumpeter who originated from classical music and then transitioned to pop and jazz. He takes part in different television shows that air on Rai, as Lead-trumpet, and Mediaset networks. His collaborations include Italian and foreign musicians, such as Fabrizio Bosso, Mauro Beggio, Georgios Tsolis, Maria Schneider, and others. His musical output comprises recordings for Emme Records, New Interplanetary Melodies, Blue Serge, Cose Sonore, Sony Music, Dodicilune and others labels. He has been a finalist in several competitions, including Chicco Bettinardi, Massimo Urbani, Roma Jazz Contest, and Barga Jazz Contest. He participates in national and international jazz festivals such as Sile Jazz, Treviso Suona Jazz, Garda Jazz, Valdobbiadene Jazz and Inntoene Jazz. In terms of composition, the first productions are inspired by the post-bop period and then proceed towards compositions from a more and more felt contrapuntal scheme, fused to both acoustic and electric sounds and sourrounded by a constant inclination for the serial and atonal music. All this is the result of a passion, born during the piano studies, for authors like Arnold Schoenberg, Alban Berg and Anton Webern.
