Whitley Jean Biography
Whitley Jean gives a voice to her past and healing through her music. The people who have influenced her life the most are woven throughout her stories and complimented with soothing melodies. She is currently based in Columbus, OH, but she is from a small community near Newark, OH. Her music focuses on pulling out characters from her past to explore those we interact with throughout our lives.
Whitley grew up sheltering her voice and highly personal songs from the world, but that changed in 2013 when a friend heard her playing from the hallway in their freshman dorm at college. Whitley began performing publicly later that year, sharing her tales of love, heartbreak, poverty, and small town dynamics.
