About this concert
Two dynamic women from different corners of the world converge on a tour of Ireland and the U.K., bringing their rich variety of songs and stories to one night in Kenmare. We invite you to pull up a chair and experience a sense of togetherness, a reminder that we are not alone in our questions. In times like these, we need friends like this.
American pianist and singer-songwriter Melanie Ida Chopko pours her heart out over jazz chords and bold melodies. She tenderly catalogs her journey to give and receive love, endlessly cracking jokes along the way.
Erika Olson’s debut album "This Is How I Pray," is a poignant fusion of folk, pop, blues, and Americana. Standing as a testament to the power of starting anew, Erika’s songs call us to look deeper, see clearer, and embrace our unique lives.

Erika Olson Biography
Erika Olson, a critically acclaimed folk pop singer/songwriter, raises babies and writes songs in East Sussex. An American nomad, Erika’s deep and diverse musical roots are on glorious display in her debut album, “This Is How I Pray.” Motherhood roared into Erika’s life like an invading army, demanding fealty and total transformation. Sacrificing a professional life, was the least of the changes demanded of her. Yet in the midst of transformational chaos, motherhood gave birth to Erika’s artistry. Erika’s babies and her music have grown up side by side, bearing witness to the glorious and devastating moments that can only be seen when we slow down. With fierce vulnerability and more than a little rebellion, Erika’s music invites her listener to look deeper, see clearer, and know better. Her music is here to wake us up to our precious and unique lives.
