It was a fantastic performance at a lovely house in North East Portland. I saw David and Bob and Port Townsend, and enjoyed them so much that when I got home to Portland, I immediately signed up for the house party. It was lovely, and they are fantastic musicians. Bob plays the harmonica like you’ve never heard before, and David songwriting abilities and story writing abilities paired with his expert slide guitar playing is a great combo. I highly recommend supporting their music.

David Jacobs-Strain is a fierce slide guitar player, and a song poet from Oregon. He’s known for both his virtuosity and spirit of emotional abandon; his live show moves from humorous, subversive blues, to delicate balladry, and then swings back to swampy rock and roll.
