Eliza Dickson Biography

Eliza Dickson, a jazz vocalist from Adelaide, South Australia, has made waves with her latest release, "Champagne," dropping in December 2023. This album marks a significant milestone in her musical career, following the success of her debut EP, "GOLD."

"Champagne" is the culmination of three years of Eliza’s dedicated effort, and contribution from artists around the globe. It highlights Eliza's evolution as both an artist and a producer, seamlessly blending influences from contemporary pop and modern jazz. Drawing from her diverse experiences and inspirations, Eliza reflects her musical journey across genres, resulting in a genre-defying album with something for everyone.

Trained at the Elder Conservatorium of Music at the University of Adelaide, Eliza's background as a jazz vocalist is evident in her soulful performances. She is no stranger to the stage, having performed at various events and festivals across Adelaide and beyond, including with many notable artists such as Kate Ceberano and James Morrison. Eliza is the the primary singer for the Australian Army Band Adelaide, and has performed at many high profile events such as Clipsal 500, Civic Park Carols, Generations in Jazz, AFL ANZAC Day Showdown, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Adelaide Jazz Festival and extensively throughout Adelaide, interstate and internationally.

Before "Champagne," Eliza gained recognition for "GOLD," an EP that seamlessly blended jazz, soul, and pop. Produced by Drew Ofthe Drew and featuring talented musicians from Adelaide and New York, "GOLD" explored the challenges of pursuing a career in the arts.

Aside from her music career, Eliza is also passionate about education, teaching music and directing choirs in Adelaide schools. Her dedication to both her craft and her students speaks volumes about her commitment to music.

With "Champagne," Eliza Dickson invites listeners to join her on a journey of musical exploration and celebration. It's a testament to her talent, her perseverance, and her love for the art form.
