About this concert
Attention Creatures! We'll be dredging the waters of Jasper for the first time on Saturday, July 20th, 2024 at the Royal Canadian Legion (400 Gelkie street) with our fellow heshers in Age of Ashes, The Andrechts, and Blind Stitch. This show is very much an excuse to get to the mountains to chuff and chug with friends we haven't met yet! So share this with any of the poor Death Metal and Punk deprived people of Jasper you may know and come get rowdy!

Repugnant Scum Biography
SENTIENT OOZE
Repugnant Scum are a Canadian Death Metal band formed in 2015 by Dustin "Sludge" Moysey on guitar/vocals, Geoff "Deaf Jormes" Stickles on bass/vocals, and "BD" Cody Hills on drums.
Dustin and Cody met while working security at the Starlite Room in Edmonton, Alberta. Joined by Dustin's longtime friend Geoff soon after. The new 3-piece quickly wrote their first song: "Headbutted Into Oblivion", which would eventually be the 2nd track on their debut record "Adapt or Burn", released independently June 1st, 2019. 10 tracks of true-to-form Death Metal, characterized by elements of blues, classical music, and influences by forefathers of the genre.
After nearly 5 years of continuous gigging in every dirty watering hole we could find, in April 2020, Cody left the band. He was replaced briefly by good friend Trin Dafoe (shout out to Misery Tomb) to fulfill show commitments.
After a year of searching, Chris Kaminski officially took the throne in September of 2022 and will make his recording debut with the band in 2024.
The name Repugnant Scum originated the same as any other... by trying to imply the worst possible creature without being too gnarly. The 202 Proof (which is seen again and again) simply enforces that notion. To break it down: 20 = T = True, 2 = B = Brutality. So Two-oh-two is the credo of those with integrity. That is the spit in the face of life. Withstanding anything and still moving forward. That's True Brutality... and naturally all the violence and hesher shit that goes with it.
Contact us about anything. Preferably gigs or recording but we'll humor whatever you can imagine. Currently we are in the process of recording our 2nd full length album with plans to tour in late summer/early autumn of 2024.
