About this concert
We are Calgary's music festival on International Avenue, going into year four.
Inspired by the thriving Calgary independent music scene, major multi venue festivals like SXSW, Sled Island and the excitement of International Avenue, East Town Get Down melds location, food and performance into an immersive one night event.
Featuring intimate venues, unique food and drink, and a range of performers to suit all musical tastes, East Town Get Down is shaking up the festival landscape in Calgary, kicking off the summer season with an international flare.

jo. is an emerging Filipina-Canadian artist based in Calgary, Canada, with a background coloured by the performing arts in Musical Theatre and Choral Music. Her present sound is a sweet blend of nostalgia and modern day, focused on soul and R&B with jazz influences. Her passion for music now extends beyond the stage as she crafts her own discography; uncovering her identity as a storyteller, and sharing her journey of self discovery as a songwriter and composer.
