About this concert
Ocho de Bastos (translation: Eight of Clubs) sound is an energetic fusion of tropical rhythms with Latin rock. A unique guitar sound, blended with powerful drums, Latin percussion, and catchy brass riffs complement Ocho de Bastos’ unique style. Ocho de Bastos was described by National Public Radio’s Felix Contreras as “…A DAMN GOOD BAND.”
Ocho de Bastos decided to fuse strong percussion and Caribbean rhythms with more traditional Latin rock sounds resulting in nine songs that identify Ocho de Bastos style as what band members call “a fusion of tropical rhythms like merengue, salsa, reggae, and reggaeton with a powerful electric guitar”.
