Magenta Wave Biography
Magenta Wave is an alternative indie-rock band that started playing live in Bellingham, Washington during the spring of 2022.
The group quickly made their way into established venues, playing shows at the Wild Buffalo, the Shakedown, and the Blue Room, selling out the last venue on two separate occasions.
Notorious for emotionally charged vocal melodies supplemented with evocative guitar solos, their sound constantly evolves as the musicians grow as both artists and human beings.
In the fall of 2023 the band relocated to Seattle, where they share a house together. They took little time to settle, playing shows at the Sunset Tavern, and Barboza. The group will be returning to action this March at the Tractor Tavern.
The band has been working hard in the studio, as they are gearing up to release their first EP, “Sold My Soul”. Two days spent at the Hallowed Halls in Portland last November resulted in the recording of their first four songs. Aided by the team of recording engineers & producers Matthew Blount & William Mapp (who was also the mixing engineer) from the band MARBLE, and mastering engineer Ed Brooks (Pearl Jam, Death Cab for Cutie), they are excited to finally share their music with the world.
You can listen to their first single "Tightrope" on all streaming platforms February 16th.
