BiG Bailey

Hosted by Tamell “Big” Bailey and CathyB every third Thursday, Art Of Word is an excellent opportunity for adults and young adults to practice performance skills in front of a receptive audience, receive feedback, and get inspiration for creating new performance pieces. The theme for June is “Daddy's Influence,” and John Lamprecht is the featured performer. John Lamprecht has been writing poetry for the last 26 years. A native of NY, he has been living in South Carolina since 2014. Before SC, he lived in Buffalo, NY, where he was a founding member of several groups of poets, most notably Living Poets Society and We, The Notorious Pronouns. He has a passion for the literary arts and a degree in English and History, focusing on creative writing from the University of Buffalo. While in NY, he enjoyed hosting weekly readings and organizing poetry anthologies for local residents. John's poetry passionately explores everyday life, love, loss, and resilience through captivating narratives inspired by personal experiences.
