About this concert
Golden Hour - Summer rooftop concert series is back! Doors 6pm, Show 6:30-9:30pm. • Featuring: Stacy Antonel Bronte Fall Mike Thomas • Stacy Antonel - An idiosyncratic artist with a background in classical piano, Stacy Antonel makes jazzy, country-leaning, clever Americana that feels both vintage and hyper-modern at the same time. Rooted in classic country but influenced by jazz, pop, and R&B, her throwback “country jazz” style conjures the 20s-30s musical era when jazz and country weren't such disparate genres. There’s a complex, conversational quality to her lyrics, reminiscent of alt-rocker Courtney Barnett, paired with the effortless, emotive vocal power of country icon Patsy Cline. Now based in Nashville, Antonel is poised to release her Americana debut "Always the Outsider", featuring compelling, narrative storylines (taking a page from Willie Nelson’s songbook), agile vocal melodies, and unexpected thematic twists. The thematically unique collection explores metaphysical and supernatural concepts (alien-earthling romance, past-life trauma) as well as grounded narratives of everyday experience (isolation, disconnectedness, sexual desire, feeling like an alien in your own body) in Antonel’s distinctively jazzy style. There’s an intelligent, otherworldly beauty to the album, with many anthems of outsider-ness made more striking by their classic-country sound and structure. At times, Always the Outsider feels like an elegant relic from a bygone era, other times it’s a glimpse into the distant, mystical future of country music. • BrontëFall - Teri Bracken’s career as Brontë Fall began almost accidentally. The singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs had always been a music obsessive, dreaming of forming her own bands and playing on stages. While working at The Hideout, a beloved music venue in Chicago, Bracken told the talent buyer she was working under that she started a band. A week later, the booker asked if her band wanted to play a show there. So, Bracken hit the practice studio with a friend to add to the mere 2 songs they had written as said band. She threw together a bio, took some press photos, and sat in a cafe all day until she came up with a band name. Inspired by the perseverance of the Brontë sisters—whose resistance to gender stereotypes in their industry would be a guiding light for Bracken—she named the group “Brontë.” She added “Fall” after her favorite Emily Brontë poem, “Fall, Leaves, Fall.” That was the beginning of what has become Bracken’s life—a dedication to songcraft, equality, and the Nashville community she now calls home. • Mike Thomas - Mike Thomas released his sophomore LP, "Diamonds," in July 2023 and has received widespread critical acclaim from publications like Wide Open Country, Americana Highways, The Boot, The Bluegrass Situation, Glide Magazine and many more. Thomas grew up in Knoxville, TN and moved to Nashville in 2004 intent on pursuing a career as a songwriter, but quickly grew disillusioned and set music aside for an extended period. Thomas recalls, "I didn't listen to the Country music of the day. I had no frame of reference for the types of songs publishers and artists were looking for. I was naive and learned some tough lessons in those days." After walking away from music for ten plus years to start a family and a small business, Thomas got back into the swing of things in 2018, when he met producer, Tres Sasser, who convinced him to begin writing and recording again. The two have since recorded a pair of albums together - the self-released "Three Reasons" (2020), and now "Diamonds," both recorded in Franklin, TN with members of Thomas' regular backing band and a few special guests.

Brontë Fall Biography

Teri Bracken is the singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and visionary force behind Brontë Fall's mix of indie-pop and rootsy Americana. After taking a short hiatus from touring to focus on writing and recording again, she is hitting the road with new singles in preparation for a big 2024 release! Winter, Brontë Fall's follow-up to 2020's Finishing School, was created during those months of dark struggles and silver linings. It's a six-song EP that doubles down on Bracken's pop roots, trading the Americana influences of her previous recordings for a mix of synthesizers, punchy percussion, and other electronic elements.
