Waves Crashing Biography
Waves Crashing breathes new life into the beloved sounds of the 80’s & 90’s. Infusing lush soundscapes and melodic hooks that offer a fresh take on the nostalgia of the past while delivering a contemporary edge.
Waves Crashing have released a handful of singles and EP’s, including the 2021 Sea of Wires EP (debuting globally on the shoegaze radio station DKFM), the High/Low EP, and most recently released The Viewing EP, featuring the infectious single “Life on Display”, as well as tracks “Automatic” and “Voices”, all of which have been featured prominently on the legendary Seattle radio station KEXP (90.3 FM).
They have been featured in venues and festivals including LoveOly Summer Fest, South Sound Block Party, Seagaze, Tremolo Fest and the West Seattle Summer Fest, alongside local and national groups like Bully, Ringo Deathstarr, Wavves, Acid Tongue, New Age Healers, Shaina Shepherd, The Cave Singers, The Districts, Polyrhythmics, Fotoform, Jupe Jupe, and Dead Leaf Echo, to name only a few.
With their latest release in 2023, The Viewing EP, we hear the band diving sonically deeper than ever before to bring some of their most well-crafted and beautiful songs to the surface. The feature single ‘Life on Display’ has been very well received with continued radio support from KEXP Seattle, DKFM Los Angeles, WXNA Nashville, as well as stations throughout the U.S.
This December the band is set to release their 4th EP titled Ancora on limited CD via Shore Dive Records (UK) and via Seattle label Neon Sigh in states. An array of singles lead up to the release including the captivating new track ‘Rose Hue’.
