New Zealand String Quartet

We're thrilled to return to Picton in May with a concert as part of our 2024 season Soundscapes. Following our sold-out concert with Arts on Tour in 2023, we're back at the Picton Little Theatre with a program showcasing a work written by renowned New Zealand composer, Leonie Holmes, alongside notable pieces from the classical canon by Haydn and Debussy. Programme Leonie Holmes Fragment II Haydn Op. 71 no. 3 Interval Debussy in G minor Op.10 Our programme, crafted in our signature style, aims to engage audiences with lively and informative introductions to each piece delivered by our Quartet members themselves. These introductions seek to shed light on the stories behind the music, making it an enriching experience suitable for all audiences, regardless of their background or familiarity with chamber music.
