Despina Malea (born in 22 July 1969, Tipigen, Düsseldorf, Germany) is a Ellinida (Greek) having sold almost one million records in Ellada (Greece) alone. She has been dubbed in interviews and publications of her country as 'the ultimate pop star' and the 'only Ellinida Star with an international career (due to her major success in Cyprus)'. Despina has worked with ALL the big-namers of Greek contemporary pop music, aka Foivos. Her music can be described as Laiko-Punk.
