The festival celebrates, preserves, and presents the African American legacy & promotes racial reconciliation in Northern Virginia.
The children’s act this year is a talented young lady named “Ms. Niki”.
Introducing, Nicole "Ms. Niki" Addison, a classically trained singer/songwriter from Washington, DC. One of family music's most compelling and talented new emerging artists, Ms. Niki is a member of the GRAMMY-nominated 1 Tribe Collective's All One Tribe album featuring "Rainbow" along with 24 other family music artists.
Described as "a new age cross between Mary Poppins and Ms. Frizzle" Ms. Niki is sure to please audiences of all ages!!

Ms. Niki's Music Class Biography
Nicole “Ms. Niki” Addison is a Grammy-nominated and classically trained singer/songwriter from Washington, D.C. A graduate of Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Howard University (BFA Music Education), and Trinity University (Master's of Science in Administration/Non-Profit Management, Ms. Niki has taught music education to youth for 15+ years.
In 2018, Ms. Niki released her first children’s single, Music in the Air and EP. With simple and accessible call & response songs, Ms. Niki's magnetic buttery voice with undertones of gospel, hip hop, and R&B warmly invites children and their caregivers into a shared learning experience. A new age cross between Mary Poppins and Ms. Frizzle, Ms. Niki offers a wide variety of songs, workshops, and performances for kids and kids at heart.
One of family music's most compelling and talented new emerging artists, Ms. Niki is a member of the Grammy-nominated 1 Tribe Collective's All One Tribe album featuring Rainbow.
