About this concert
💙 TUINCONCERT – Edith Franken en Antea Bisschop gaan een halve marathon lopen in Uganda in januari 2025 en willen hiermee € 10.000,- ophalen. Hiermee krijgen projecten van @compassionnl in #Uganda financiële steun. Het doel is kinderen bevrijden uit armoede en een kans geven om hun toekomst vorm te geven.

Voor zaterdag 22 juni is het voor jou nú mogelijk om tickets te kopen voor een tuinconcert met @the_bowery_music. De muziek van The Bowery gaat dieper dan standaard liefdesliedjes, het omarmt het rauwe en pure leven met nummers over twijfel, pijn en hoop. De inspiratie wordt verzorgd door Tiemen Westerduin. Tiemen werkt momenteel als bewegingsleider bij de 4e Musketier. Hij heeft een groot hart om recht te doen en weet als geen ander mensen in beweging te krijgen.

De kaarten kan je vanaf nu kopen via eventbrite. Inclusief koffie/thee bij aanvang en een hapje/drankje aan het einde van het concert. We hebben ruimte voor 70 gasten dus vol = vol.

The Bowery Biography
The Bowery is a Dutch band, founded in 2016. The name is based on a district with the same name in New York, that started with the wonderful idea of a luxurious neighbourhood full of bars and theaters. It quickly went downhill and soon there were gangs and it became a mess. “Sounds a bit like the earth,” said singer Rokus. “It was once the intention to be so beautiful, but the residents themselves have made a mess of it.” And that is how the band name of The Bowery came into being. The songs aren't standard songs about love and heartbreak. No, the songs from The Bowery are about real life, as many know it: pure and with a raw edge. About doubt, pain and sadness, but also about hope and faith. Never intended to give an answer, more to share and sometimes to put something in motion in the mind of the listener.The sound of The Bowery underlines that story: a raw Springsteen sound and delicious unpolished guitar sound. In May 2018 they released their debut album. On vinyl, because: “Nobody has a cassette player nowadays.” In 2020 they released their second album 'Mountains & Valleys'. In september 2022, followed by their 3rd album, 'Time & Again' and in 2024 The Bowery released an EP, written & recorded in Nashville, TN, that came together with a book: "All You Weary".
