Distorted Heartbeat Biography
Distorted Heartbeat is a boutique music agency helping artists navigate through the business side of the industry. We provide a variety of services to artists seeking to expand their fan base including management, booking, and promotions/social media.
Founded by Krystal Garcia in 2016, Distorted Heartbeat was originally intended to serve as a music blog. Garcia began her foray into the music industry in the early 2000s when she ran a Sam Goody music store while managing local bands in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. In 2008 she co-founded K2 Entertainment, LLC and booked various national and international acts including Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Recoil (featuring Alan Wilder of Depeche Mode), IAMX, Nitzer Ebb and Apoptygma Berzerk to name a few. During this time she also interviewed several indie bands for the Dumbing of America and appeared on radio shows.
After much internal debate, Garcia decided to return to her live music and promotion roots changing Distorted Heartbeat from blog to full service music agency. Distorted Heartbeat offers artist representation, live bookings, and promotions through social media presence, radio play, and journalism coverage. All services are based on the needs of the artist. Our goal is to keep you in the studio and onstage - let us handle the paperwork.
