About this concert
Travis Hyll is a singer/songwriter and professional entertainer located in New England. "Authentic, passionate performances that span a wide range of genres, topics and moods." He is an accomplished solo artist whose original compositions demonstrate an authentic, emotive, and timeless spirit inspired by his real-life values and experiences. His musical style often incorporates old time and folk elements pulled from his mother's deep Western North Carolina roots, country/western flair from his father's Texan roots, the soulful power of Southern rock and blues, and the evocative old world feel of Celtic traditions. In February of 2023, Travis relocated to New England, quickly gaining a reputation as a premier artist on equal ground with longstanding regional acts. He has been regularly performing at festivals and venues across the region ever since, with his entirely organic following growing exponentially. In October of 2023, Travis Hyll independently released his single “This Gold Ring,” written about the enduring value and sanctity of marriage, and in March 2024 he released his single “The Lineman Song,” based on his personal experiences as a former line worker and steward. They are available worldwide on all major platforms. Travis is known for his powerful voice, instrumental skills, and passionate performances. His tremendous repertoire spans multiple genres and includes his personalized renditions of rock hits, country classics, folk tunes, and traditional music of the British Isles. A major highlight of his diverse musical background includes performing in a band with the brother and nephew of world renowned, multi-platinum country star Randy Travis from 2017 to 2018, including at a festival in their hometown of Marshville, NC, during which he met Randy personally and the mayor presented Randy the key to the city. Another highlight was as hand percussionist in a Raleigh-based Middle Eastern ensemble, performing at Duke University and headlining the North Carolina Persian Festival. Travis Hyll is a BMI represented artist.
