Ricky Stein Biography
Austin-born, NYC-based singer/songwriter Ricky Stein peddles a fresh brand of Americana and the laid-back traditional/progressive vibe of his hometown. Since moving to New York in August 2016, the guitar-and-harmonica player has been booked at many of the city's premier venues while expanding his ever-growing catalog of original compositions. Already with three critically-acclaimed albums to his name (including the latest, Long Summer, hailed as "among the best country sounds to come out of Austin this year" by the Austin Chronicle), Stein has proved himself to be a keen observer of the world we live in as well as a natural entertainer with a good-humored stage presence. Whether performing as a soloist with a blues harp and a J-45 or going full-throttle with a rock and roll band, Stein consistently delivers a set that is soulful, uplifting, and one that speaks to the present moment.
