Briana Cash Biography

Briana is an award-winning singer-songwriter. Her music has been licensed for TV and film. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA, The Society of Composers and Lyricists, The Alliance for Women Film Composers, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, a voting member of Guild of Music Supervisors, and The Recording Academy. Her music considered in eight categories for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. Briana had the honor of singing on Barbara Morrison and The Legacy album, “Blues Mama” FYC 66th Grammy Awards.

Briana enjoys collaborating with artists, producing, composing for TV/Film and working in music licensing. Murder of God’s Banker is a new TV docuseries Briana worked on as singer-songwriter, guitarist and music supervisor currently airing on Paramount+ . She has also worked on the TV docuseries, Wineram as a composer and music supervisor on Hulu and Amazon Prime.

Briana’s song, “Cranberry Lake” is in the award-winning film, Aga. Written and directed by Milko Lazarov and produced by Veselka Kiryakova. Bulgaria’s submission into the 2020 Oscars best international feature category. The film premiered at the Berlin international film festival in 2018. Aga went on to be screened at a number of international film festivals, including Sarajevo and Valladolid, where it won awards. In October 2018, Aga was the main winner at Bulgaria’s Golden Rose film festival, collecting awards in the best film, best director and best cinematography categories. Briana had the honor of working with award winning composer Penka Kouneva.

Broadway star and 68th Tony Awards performer Christine Dwyer (NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar, Wicked, Rent, Finding Neverland, Murder Ballad) is a featured artist on four of Briana’s songs, “All Around Me, It’s Christmas, “It’s Christmas Time and I Feel Love”, “Mangifera” and “Fame”. Briana has collaborated with many Award-winning, Grammy, Emmy and Oscar nominated artists, songwriters, producers and composers.

Her eclectic writing technique and diverse sound covers a lot of ground. Her main styles as a performer are Jazz, Pop / Adult Contemporary and Americana, similar to artists such as Norah Jones, Lana Del Rey, Brandi Carlile and Alison Krauss. Briana has her own unique sound regardless of genre. This former classically trained vocalist believes all styles have a way of crossing over and are interconnected.

Briana is an advocate for many charities, human rights, animal welfare, the environment (global warming and climate change), BLM, No Kid Hungry, Breast Cancer and more. She recorded three Public Service Announcements for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She licensed her award-winning song, “Take a Walk With Me” to Susan G. Komen as a donation for use in their 2010 National Campaign. “Take a Walk With Me” is on a short list of approved licensed songs with artists such as Melissa Etheridge. She graduated from Berklee College of Music and received Berklee’s “BEST” Scholarship having a five octave range and singing Gilbert & Sullivan’s “Poor Wandering One” at the age of sixteen.
