About James Lee Stanley-- With a history that includes 5 years on StarTrek Deep Space Nine as the singing Klingon amongst other roles, 3 years as Steven Wright’s opening act; tours with Bonnie Raitt, the Dixie Dregs, Robin Trower and Robin Williams, the composer of the hits Coming Out of Hiding, I Don’t Want To Talk About It and Plenty of Reason, 32 solo CD’s and duet CD’s with Peter Tork, Cliff Eberhardt, Dan Navarro or John Batdorf, you know you are in for an evening rich in musical chops, great songs and a man who, his remarkable singing and guitar playing notwithstanding, could be a stand up comedian… As they said in the Village Voice, "with James Lee Stanley you get it all”. And his recent documentary, The Opening Act, has already garnered 30 independent film awards, including Best Documentary and Best Soundtrack. About Brian Kalinec Brian Kalinec is an award-winning,Texas-based Americana/folk singer-songwriter. A native of Beaumont, his writing has drawn favorable comparisons to that of Woody Guthrie, John Steinbeck, Rodney Crowell, and Jim Croce, and it resonates with audiences, fellow songwriters, and music lovers alike. Brian has received significant recognition for both his songwriting and musicianship, winning contests like the Songwriter Serenade in Texas and the Big Top Chautauqua in Wisconsin, and taking second place in the Woody Guthrie Songwriting Competition. He has performed at Texas' own Kerrville Folk Festival, as well as festivals and venues worldwide including England Scotland Wales, and the Czech Republic. His newest project, "The Beauty of it All", released in 2023, reached #9 of the EuroAmericana Chart and #16 on the FAI Folk Chart. Nominated by the Texas Music Awards for Songwriter of the Year, Musician of the Year, and Brian has also been recognized as a three-time finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest. Brian is also a recipient of the Texas Music Awards "My Texan Award" for his support of music and musicians of the state. He is past-President of the Southwestern region of Folk Alliance International (SWRFA) and was recently on the boards of directors for Songwriter Serenade and HoustonLive. Brian and his wife, Pam own Berkalin Records, a label which is home to a number of well-respected Folk and Americana artists. In 2024 Brian and his friend Joel McColl successfully launched a new dual-city event benefitting local food banks named "Moveable Festival". Brian also hosts his monthly Brian.at.Berkalin songwirter series which is now in its 15th year.

About Brian Kalinec

Texan Brian Kalinec has been called "a combination of Woody Guthrie, John Steinbeck, James Taylor, and Rodney Crowell in the stories he tells" in a review in music magazine Rootsy. He has also been described by Robert Bartosh of Roots Music Report as “one of the most creative songwriters from the Texas music scene". Brian has received a considerable recognition here and abroad, winning events such as the Songwriter Serenade Competition, the Big Top Chautauqua Song Contest, second place in the Woody Guthrie Song Contest and a finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest, to name a few. He was nominated for Songwriter of the Year and Musician of the Year in the Texas Music Awards in the recent past. He has appeared at the Kerrville Folk Festival, and venues such as Uncle Calvin's in Dallas, The Bugle Boy in La Grange, and as a featured guest on Rich Warren's Folkstage on WFMT in Chicago.

Brian is currently working on a new project, "The Beauty of It All", which will be released in early 2023. He recently toured the UK this summer with his duo partner Kj Reimensnyder-Wagner in late July 2022 in support of the Kalinec & Kj 2021 release “Let’s Get Away”, which included appearances at the Belladrum Festival near Inverness.

Brian and his wife Pam own Berkalin Records, a label which is home to a number of well-respected folk and Americana artists. Brian is Past-President of the Southwest Regional Folk Alliance, and was recently on the boards of directors for Songwriter Serenade and HoustonLive.
