About this concert
If you lean into the winds of change, you’ll take flight in the direction of your destiny. Plàsi embraces a natural inclination towards evolution. Rather than tread the same territory or comfortably drift into the rhythm of the past, the Greco-Swedish singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist steadily shifts course on his upcoming 2024 EP, Salamina (Nettwerk Music Group), which is out this summer. Pinning plaintive vocals to lush sonic architecture, the music resembles the moment you fall into a dream. Joined by producer Björn Yttling (Lykke Li, Peter Björn & John, First Aid Kit), Plàsi organically expands his sonic palette, stretching beyond singer-songwriter tradition, and reaching cinematic heights buoyed by a bolder sound and ambition. Accompanied by his band, the new sound is brought on stage throughout Europe on the Salamina Tour. Inspired by artists as diverse as Blanco White, Henry Jamison, Efterklang, and Phoebe Bridgers, Plàsi carefully crafted an eloquent signature style, tying together threads of ethereal acoustic guitar, lithe production, and warm vocals. It evolved across 2016’s Now & Then EP, 2018’s People LP 2019’s Mystery EP, and 2022’s Foreign Sea LP. Reacting with listeners, “Sorrow” gathered 14.7M+ Spotify streams and counting, paving the way for collaborations with Axel Flóvent, Aisha Badru, and more. Along the path, he also toured internationally with the likes of Flóvent, Hollow Coves, Henry Jamison, Efterklang, and José González.

Double Talk (Formerly Greatest Hits) Biography

Australian/British Trio, “Double Talk” explore the sharper edges of pop, disguised in a tapestry of groove, new-wave, psych, and post-disco. The songs are a satirical therapy session in understanding the strange world we find ourselves in - full of bewildered observations, self examination, and sarcasm.

Forming somewhat accidentally whilst living in Leeds, England, their music has gone on to receive BBC Radio 1 play in the UK, an official Triple J add in Australia, and several tours through Europe and Australia with the likes of Gang of Youths, Ladyhawke, Donny Benét, King Stingray, and San Cisco.
