About this concert
Bumpin Uglies: Driven by DIY merit, Annapolis band, Bumpin Uglies is no stranger to the pull of the bootstrap. Seven successful studio albums have paved the way for the awe-inspiring eighth. Underdog: The Acoustic Sessions, recorded live in studio by the band’s founder, Brandon Hardesty, showcases the songwriting prowess that has been a constant pillar of the band’s music since its inception. Consisting of 16-tracks, the LP introduces seven new songs never before heard and nine fan favorites that have been stripped down to raw, poignant, gut-punching versions that differ from the fast-paced guitar riffs, pulsing drums, and dynamic horn sections of the originals. “Underdog: The Acoustic Sessions is an anthem for authenticity. It’s for all the artists that choose to embrace their passion as a form of art, rather than a transactional medium. A celebration of the imperfections that make us beautiful”, frontman and singer/songwriter, Hardesty conveys. Distributed via Silverback’s independent record label, Controlled Substance Sound Labs, Underdog: The Acoustic Sessions maintains the DIY ethos that is the foundation of Bumpin Uglies. Since the early 2000s, Bumpin Uglies have been carving their own path; channeling their tenacious and relentless attitude into their meticulous craft. Rejecting conventional norms, Bumpin Uglies has established a distinctive sound that is a perfect reflection of their Mid-Atlantic roots - gritty, down-to-earth, and bursting with charisma. With a genre-defying approach that seamlessly fuses punk energy with ska's infectious grooves and reggae's laid-back rhythms, Bumpin Uglies creates a musical experience that captivates audiences far and wide. Their live performances are legendary, infusing the crowd with an electrifying energy that leaves no one untouched. The band's influences are as diverse as their sound, drawing inspiration from iconic acts like Sublime, which is evident in their sun-soaked melodies and carefree spirit. Meanwhile, Hardesty embraces the lyrical depth and storytelling dexterity of artists like John Prine, The Avett Brothers, Jason Isbell, and Sturgill Simpson, weaving heartfelt tales of life's struggles, triumphs, and the beauty found within the chaos. Bumpin Uglies have been garnering a dedicated following over the course of its multi-decade career. Remaining true to their craft and never compromising their vision or principles, the loyal fanbase, Uglies Nation, is an inviting tight-knit community, sharing a connection that extends beyond the music, built on mutual respect and undying love for the band's genuine spirit. TREEHOUSE!: Somewhere between the Caribbean Sea and California coastline, the rare merging of influences on the beaches of the Carolinas brought forth a unique style in the sounds of TreeHouse! This American Reggae Fusion act is a nationally acclaimed musical force founded by singer-songwriter, Jeremy Anderson (aka Positive J) who performs lead vocals, guitar, trumpet, and melodica live on stage, while also arranging and recording horn lines, keys, bass, and percussion on current and previous releases. In 2020, as the industry shut down and full band touring became unfeasible, Anderson took the reigns of the project as a solo looping artist while he traveled out into the world for new inspiration, wrote a slew of new songs on the road, and has now brought that energy back into the studio, where he is currently working on the next TreeHouse! release in its new form. "They played as if they were headlining Coachella..." - New York Music Daily Throughout the years, TreeHouse! has had collaborative releases with up and coming artists in the genre including Mellodose, Sun-Dried Vibes, Oogee Wawa, Austin Grimm of Roots of a Rebellion, James Begin of Tropidelic, Nick Sefakis of Iya Terra, and Dan Kelly of Fortunate Youth, while teaming up on shows with musical inspirations like Steel Pulse, 311, Michael Franti, Matisyahu, The Wailers, Dirty Heads, Pepper, Stick Figure, and SOJA. The TreeHouse! single, "Blessings" was picked by Stephen Marley and Ky-Mani Marley as one of the top 10 songs out of hundreds of contestants in the Marley's Music Uprising, because they felt this song exemplified the spirit of Bob Marley. Jeremy Anderson plans to continue on this musical life journey while continually evolving the approach. At every step, there is magic. ******************************** All events are 21+ to attend unless otherwise stated on the event page. TreeHouse! Biography

If Pink Floyd jammed with Bob Marley, their sound might come close to TreeHouse! Reggae, Roots, Rock, Jam, and Psychedelia have never been fused together like this in the history of humankind, let alone so seamlessly. Situated in the Southeast US, right between Jamaica and California, TreeHouse! has forged a sound of its own with a timely, worldwide appeal.

After teaming up with musical idols like 311, Matisyahu, Michael Franti, Dirty Heads, and SOJA along their journey and in the spirit of the bands who laid the path before them, these road warriors continue to spread their roots coast to coast.

The TreeHouse! single, "Blessings" was picked by Stephen Marley and Ky-Mani Marley as one of the top 10 songs out of hundreds of contestants in the Marley's Music Uprising, because they felt this song exemplified the spirit of Bob Marley.

"The live show itself heals me every night. I write these songs, to some extent, for my own sake. If I am to sing this song every night, I try to make it beneficial for my own being and implant within it a message that I may need to hear, myself, for reassurance in my journey. Whenever we are feeling overwhelmed with our path, someone comes like a messenger from the universe and expresses how much we’ve affected their life for the better, just by doing what we do. That’s what always keeps us going."

TreeHouse! recently released a new single, "Prayer for the Day" to much acclaim, followed by "Natural High (ft. Dan Kelly)", with a new album to be released in 2020.
