Natalie Prauser Biography
Natalie Prauser blends the introspection of the 60s Laurel Canyon folk scene with the attitude of 70s outlaw country. Through tales of loving, leaving, and honky-tonk debauchery, her honest voice and razor-sharp lyricism give Prauser a cutting edge take on a timeless sound.
A Kansas native, Natalie began playing in bars at the tender age of fourteen, and was a recipient of an American Songwriters Award in 2015. With an interest in both lyrical and visual storytelling, she recently graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute with a filmmaking degree.
Natalie released her first full-length solo album, entitled “Til the Sun Comes Up,” on November 1, 2022. The album was produced by Marty Bush and features Devon Teran on pedal steel, and Bush on electric guitar, baritone, and drums. Her debut album was featured on Bandcamp Daily’s “Best of Country Music” for its November release. Natalie is currently on tour in the US through the rest of 2023.
“At first glance, the musician is a lot like her lyrics. Delicate, yet strong. Wise beyond her years…Shy, adorable, and with just enough attitude to be likable, Prauser’s songs are reminiscent of early country singers.” – I Heart Local Music
