Jack Panther Biography
Brought up deep in the woods of West Auckland, the now London based queer artist Jack Panther uses his craft to blend tones of melancholy with pop. Panther spent much of his youth with his headphones in, listening to Sky Ferreira, Arctic Monkeys and writing angsty poetry.
Intimate and dreamy, his new single THEO showcases his ability to blend genres effortlessly. Panther masterfully merges elements of pop, indie and alternative quirks to create a sound that is uniquely his own.
"Theo is about a crush, infatuation and passion, and I think that’s what is the most delicate part about love. I know releasing this song, a lot of people are going to ask ‘Who is Theo?’, and to me… well, I like that it’s a secret.”
THEO is a long awaited PT. 2 to WEEKEND AT BERNIES which came through as an eccentric, fun new era for Jack. He explained "the chorus just poured out of me so organically, I think we ended up using parts of my very first vocal take.”
In June 2022, Jack released his sophomore EP ‘why don’t you come over?’. The lead single premiered on Rolling Stone Australia, describing SKI LIFT 001 as “one of the most hard-hitting tracks you’ll hear all year”.
