Chris Housman Biography
Born in Hanston, Kansas (population: 200), Chris Housman immersed himself in country music at age seven when he taught himself to sing and play the fiddle, which led to regular performances in a traveling family band. After moving to Nashville to attend Belmont University, Housman added piano, guitar, upright bass, and even spoons to his ever-growing list of talents while playing over 150 college campuses nationwide. In 2019, his talent for whistling earned him a spot as one of the Top 5 musical whistlers in the world, just one example of how he has merged his many talents and experiences into a sound uniquely his own. Housman skyrocketed to mainstream Country success after sharing his viral hit, “Blueneck”, on TikTok, landing him the #1 spot on iTunes Country, #4 iTunes all-genre, and #14 on Billboard’s Digital Sales charts. Good Morning America boasts, “You might not know Chris Housman's name yet, but the independent country music singer-songwriter is making waves.” After his follow-up songs, “Nobody”, “Bible Belt”, and mega-viral and timely hit “Drag Queen”, Housman shows no sign of slowing down with his highly anticipated debut project set to release in the summer of 2023.
