DownRiver Collective Biography
DownRiver Collective is a bluegrass string-band based out of Nashville, TN. Raised on country, bluegrass, folk, classic rock, and Celtic music, founders John Gray (banjo, guitar, vocals) and Bailey Warren (fiddle and vocals) blend elements from each of these genres to create a sound that is distinctly their own.
Using traditional melodies, coupled with modern recording techniques and intimate lyrics, DownRiver Collective creates a unique sub-genre. Enlisting in their most talented friends to make music with, Gray and Warren wish to truly make this group a collective. DRC’s mission is to foster a myriad of voices and influences, building a space for their peers to come, create, and give a part of themselves to the group, so that they may all benefit and grow from one another.
DownRiver Collective released their debut album “Kettleridge” on May 1st, 2020, which features their lifelong friend Danny Tucker. Since then they have continued to work on new music, gearing up for some new releases for the summer and fall of 2021.
