The June 12 edition of the Songwriters at Play Showcase features folk-rock vocalist Holly Ann Lewis. Special guests include Dakota Corrales, Cynthia Brando, and John Sandoval.
Holly Ann Lewis returns to Moonstone, where she appeared in our tribute to Joni Mitchell last November. She rocked CCAT last January, paying tribute to Aretha Franklin and Smokey Robinson. Holly has also played Cambria Concerts Unplugged, and Stolo Vineyards. She started singing and playing guitar at an early age and recorded her first album at age 15 in a band called African Rain, with Grammy Award winner, Babatunde Olatunji.

Songwriters at Play Showcase is a monthly show, hosted by Steve Key, every second Wednesday, 6-8pm. No cover charge. Like Moonstone open mics, musicians of all levels and styles are invited to play two songs each. Steve Key Biography
Steve Key is an award-winning songwriter, performer and recording artist, best known as the writer of "33, 45, 78 (Record Time)" recorded by country music star Kathy Mattea. He now lives in Shell Beach on California's Central Coast. Steve Key performs solo, sometimes with guitar or fiddle backup. His latest album is called "How I Learned to Drink", a collection of 10 Key originals.
Before he arrived on the Central Coast 12 years ago, Steve was a touring folksinger who played major concert venues and folk festivals across the country and in Canada. His songs were covered by dozens of folk and country acts. He recorded for New York's Fast Folk label, which is now part of the Folkways collection at the Smithsonian.
