About this concert
The Hollywood Bowl’s favorite globetrotting “little orchestra,” helmed by pianist Thomas Lauderdale, returns to the stage at the start of their 30th anniversary year for two nights of big, bold, genre-defying songs that traverse time and geography. Featuring lead singer China Forbes, this band is “impressive at every musician’s station,” as Variety says, “the ensemble produces music that’s charming and elegant.”
Led by the Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist of the same name, the Andrew Bird Trio shares songs from their latest album Sunday Morning Put-On, featuring Bird’s takes on classic songs by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Lerner & Loewe, Rodgers & Hart, and more.
