Happy Little Clouds

Save the date for Somerville Porchfest on Saturday, May 11! Linnea's Garden and Happy Little Clouds will be performing the 4-6 pm time slot at 32 Stone Avenue, near the Union Square T stop in Somerville. This is a free, outdoor, all ages event, so bring your friends and spread the word! 4 pm: Happy Little Clouds http://www.happylittleclouds.com/ Happy Little Clouds is a Boston-based indie rock band whose songs will stick with you rain or shine. The band’s unfiltered, heartfelt lyrics are entwined with bluesy vocals and catchy melodies, layered like frosting on top of a post-grunge chocolate cake. Delish. Happy Little Clouds is Jac Mestel on vocals and guitar, Jess Townsend on drums (World/Inferno, Ketman), and JD Bergstrom on bass (Broadcaster, Volcano Kings, founding member of The Extreme Terror). 5 pm: Linnea's Garden https://www.linneasgarden.com Linnea’s Garden plays glam punk rock you can dance to. Imagine the angular guitars of Television, primal bass lines of The Clash, danceworthy grooves of Blondie, and otherworldly songwriting and stage show of David Bowie, fronted by a queer singer/songwriter/scientist. Loud, shiny and full of distortion: they do it cuz they like to do it. They say the things people are afraid to say. Linnea (vocals/guitar) first met bandmates Hands (bass/vocals) and Super Tough Ray Clough (drums) when their previous bands PowerSlut and Corner Soul were competing finalists in Boston’s 40th Rock ‘n’ Roll Rumble.
