About this concert
Los Angeles-based acts Mermaid and Danielle Lande are on a sapphic West Coast music tour put on by LA concert promoter Queersound. They’re coming through Bend and collaborating with Open Space Event Studios to host an evening of queer community, creativity, and connection!
There will be vendor booths by local Bend artists and creatives to check out, and their performances will be followed by an open mic for the Bend LGBTQ+ music community and allies.

Mermaid Band Biography
Even the greatest skeptic will believe in soulmates upon hearing Brittany Campbell and Candace Quarrels’ story, which encompasses music, love, friendship, and so much more. Upon meeting in the Chicago production of Hamilton, the pair went on to form Mermaid, a Los Angeles-based project that defies genre and has even won the attention of Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard, who handpicked their song “Find Me” for NPR's Tiny Desk Top Shelf contest in 2020. Today, Mermaid is preparing to release their debut LP, Iridescence, featuring special guest saxophonist Braxton Cook, and co-producer Sam Hoffman (Mereba, Durand Bernarr). Arriving later in 2023, Iridescence is infused with soul and R&B and mixes in a heady combination of alt-rock, jazz, punk, pop, and metal. No matter what sonic shade Iridescence adopts, it is seamlessly held together by Mermaid’s transcendent harmonies and unabiding love for one another.
