Their new self-titled album, Creekbed Carter, is both creed and archive, formed from the eccentric preoccupations of a messy Catholic childhood that have been crafted into a dazzling, troubling, and ultimately wondrous collection of songwriting. Familiar spirits haunt these songs – Roger Miller, Bobbie Gentry, Elliott Smith, Karen Dalton – but ultimately, Hogan’s music emanates from the force of their own desires. Clever, searing, bald, and true, Creekbed Carter is, above all, an act of resilience: a flaming sword that both creator and listener can use to cut their way out and through, together. https://creekbedcarter.com Jude Brothers is an Arkansas forged and New Mexico molded folksy leaning singer songwriter with a penchant for whimsy and tender heartedness. Brothers’ distinct writing style is marked by congenial contrasts: passionate & playful, calculated & relaxed, approachable & quirky. Their lyrics communicate a simultaneous existential dread and intoxicating thrill of living and loving, a practice in raw and shameless vulnerability shared through song. All of this is transmitted through nimble vocal frolicking- a shapeshifter voice crawling, leaping, pirouetting over a landscape of folk harp, guitar, and tenor banjo. https://judebrothersmusic.com Dubb Nubb songs are sweet and mean and the stories paint a colorful map inspired by highways and cities, nature and concrete, love and loss. Delia and Hannah Rainey sing the kind of harmonies that only siblings can make over classical-inspired guitar, ukulele, and poetic yet fierce songwriting. From St. Louis, the twin sisters have been playing music as Dubb Nubb since they were 15. They've released five albums and several EPs, including 2013’s Wild Dreamin' and 2015's, It’s Weird In This World, which we've done two cassette pressings of. https://dubbnubb.bandcamp.com/album/its-weird-in-this-world Mold Gold is a future friend who needs no introduction. https://moldgold222.flounder.online/

Creekbed Carter Hogan Biography

Blasphemous, stripped-down, and a stomping good time: Creekbed Carter Hogan is a trans idiot with a heart of gold slinging queergrass out of dive bars, sewer creeks, and fancy national stages alike. Weaving stories of growing up Catholic around deftly written songs that pierce the soul and tickle the funny bone, Carter creates a unique blend of folk picking and queer mayhem where anyone can feel welcome and loved.

In the great tradition of queer/trans punk and outsider art, Carter builds on a legacy of DIY scrappiness, genre bending, and pushing at the boundaries of societal norms to make space for everyone. Raised Catholic in rural-suburban Oregon and hailing from the sewer creeks of Austin, TX, Creekbed Carter is equal parts vaudevillian clown, anticapitalist tramp, and "fingerpicked bittersweet confessionals" (Austin Chronicle). Their shows spin wild yarns about growing up queer and religious around songs that feature complex folk picking patterns and plaintive, lonesome vocals. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Roger Miller, Gillian Welch, and Charlie Chaplin, a Creekbed Carter show aims to craft an opportunity for audiences to laugh, cry, connect, and - above all - have a great time.
