Terry Melanson - Music

Terry is a singer, guitarist and songwriter from Moncton, New Brunswick. Since the 1990s, Terry has played in different bands and often as lead singer. He has been much influenced by country artists such as Alabama, Randy Travis and Glen Campbell. In 2009 and 2013, Terry recorded two country folk albums with Acajun, a group that won the 2007 "Choice of the Future" award in Moncton, NB. The group released several singles on French-language radio and many of his songs came in first place in the region's francophone charts. Since 2015, Terry has also been the singer of the AcadieParty Band, a group that has released some singles on French-language radio stations and which have been at the top of the charts. Although Terry had a lot of fun singing with these bands, he decided it was time to become known as a solo artist. He also wanted to record in Nashville, United States, and his dream became true. After working two years writing, developing and recording his songs, Terry is very proud to present his first ever country album - a recording with traditional songs, but with a modern sound. The album contains 12 songs composed by Terry and other songwriters from the region.

Terry est un chanteur, guitariste et auteur-compositeur originaire de Moncton, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Depuis les années 1990, Terry a joué dans différents groupes musicaux et souvent comme chanteur principal. Il a été beaucoup influencé par des artistes country tels que Alabama, Randy Travis et Glen Campbell. En 2009 et 2013, Terry a enregistré deux albums country folklorique avec Acajun, un groupe qui a remporté le prix “Choix du futur” en 2007, à Moncton, au N.-B. Le groupe a sorti plusieurs extraits sur les radios francophones et plusieurs de ses chansons se sont classées à la première position aux palmarès francophones de la région. Depuis 2015, Terry a également été le chanteur de l’AcadieParty Band, un groupe qui a sorti quelques extraits aux radios francophones et qui se sont classés au sommet des palmarès. Quoique Terry a eu beaucoup de plaisir à chanter avec ces groupes, il a décidé que c’était le temps de faire connaître comme artiste solo. De plus, il a voulu enregistrer à Nashville, au États-Unis, et ce rêve a été réalisé. Après avoir oeuvré deux ans à écrire, développer et enregistrer ses chansons, Terry est très fier de vous présenter son tout premier album country - un enregistrement avec des chansons traditionnelles, mais ayant un son moderne. L’album contient 12 chansons composées par Terry et autres auteurs-compositeurs de la région.
