gogoPilot is a rock and roll outfit from Charlotte, NC.

gogoPilot's influences are a diverse collection of artists ranging from Tom Petty, Wilco and the Replacements, to first wave punk/new wave bands like Elvis Costello, The Pretenders and The Clash. The band favors strong pop sensibilities akin to Death Cab For Cutie and The Posies. The result is an amalgamation of rock, Americana and power pop with the emphasis on hooks and guitars.

The past:
Formed in 2003, gogoPilot has released four cd's... 2005's Armageddon Lullabies, 2007's Manana Mon Frere, 2009's the further it goes, the farther it is and 2022's Descend to Great. Each record is unique and serves as a snap shot of where the band was musically at the time of the recordings.

The now:
Descend to Great, the band's 2022 full length release, features muscular performances with songs about love, divorce, the state of the world, the pandemic, and the pursuit of happiness through change and introspection, all the while carrying a motherload of guitar snarl and energy.

2024 finds the band continuing to play live shows and to begin the process of recording record # 5. The goal is to have the record completed by year end and catapult into 2025 full speed ahead.
