About this concert
Legendary guitarist formerly of Deep Purple and Rainbow, Ritchie Blackmore, and award winning vocalist Candice Night created a new genre of music for all ages..., inspired by many melodies of the Renaissance period, and Blackmoreized into contemporary music. They call it Renaissance/Folk/Rock. This is the sound of Blackmore’s Night. In 1997, Blackmore’s Night released their debut CD, Shadow of the Moon, which immediately went gold in Japan and earned awards worldwide. Meanwhile, their devoted fan base is growing exponentially as the band performs their mystical music for all ages. From grandparents to children, everyone is enjoying their medieval mood music and gypsy dances. Clearly, the music of Blackmore’s Night connects with fans on a deep level, allowing them to experience an entirely different era of merriment. At the helm of this band, is award winning lyricist and vocalist, Candice Night, who not only contributes her unique, entrancing vocals, but deftly navigates seven medieval woodwinds, including chanters, shawms, pennywhistles and recorders. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and celebrated guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore, who traverses between acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, mandola and hurdy gurdy. Further enhancing the band’s inspired sound are keyboardist/back-up vocalist Bard David; Violinist, Scarlett Fiddler; back up vocalist/rhythm guitar, Lady Jessie ; bassist/rhythmic guitarist Earl Grey; and percussionist Troubadour of Aberdeen. With lyrics penned by Night, the collective embraces the aura of the old world inn, from madrigals and ballads to good old fashioned Renaissance-inspired pub songs. Additionally, every one of Blackmore’s Night’s studio CD has debuted in the top 2 of the Billboard charts, many of which entered or remained at the number 1 spot. They have earned Awards such as “Best Album of the Year” “Best Vocal Album of the Year” and their sold-out concerts in castles and UNESCO sites worldwide are filled with thousands of fans dressed in Renaissance garb, dancing and singing as if time stood still. No clocks…no pressure…just the gaiety and camaraderie of medieval pub. Everyone joins in and loses their stress in the music. 2022 marked the official 25th Anniversary of Blackmore’s Night. This year in 2024, they celebrate the 25th year of their 3rd CD, Fires at Midnight. A 25th year edition of Fires will be released later this year. In addition, a new Solo CD release from Candice Night is on the horizon. Can't wait for the new releases? Join us this Summer as the mystical fires glow at midnight, to all our friends, fans, Blackmore's Night Family, Grab your tambourine or your tankard of ale, and sing and dance with Blackmore’s Night “Under a Violet Moon.” Let us transport you back in time to a magical evening with music that will brighten your hearts and soul. The unique Troubadours, The Wizards Consort, will be opening the musical evening of concerts with Blackmores Night Candice and Ritchie feel very strongly at helping local no-kill animal shelters. So, wherever they play, they always invite a local animal shelter or animal rescue organization to set up a donation table at their concert. They are happy to announce that the following organizations will be present at their upcoming concerts to help raise funds for our less fortunate furry friends.

Candice Night Biography

I always dreamed of being a singer. I had a vivid imagination and it was easy for me to transport myself to a simpler, more magical time. I took acting and singing lessons from the age of 4 and became involved in modeling, commerical work and little theater productions. As a teen music was my great escape. I knew I had to be around music for my career so I went to work at a radio station and as chance would have it met my husband. It was 1989. He was in Deep Purple and challenged our radio station to a charity soccer match.
He took me on the road with him in 1993 and when he needed a singer for his Difficult To Cure Solo, asked me to be his voice.
In 1995 he reformed his rock band Rainbow and needed a lyricist. I co-wrote 4 songs on the Stranger In Us All cd and provided backing vocals. I won my first of many gold records and awards. We toured the world with Rainbow to rave reviews.
In our downtime we wrote music that was a release from the stress of the world. A place of fantasy, of star filled skies, and castles on hillsides. Breathing new life into melodies from the 12th to 15 hundreds we added new lyrics and instrumentation. This musical escape became our band: Blackmore's Night.
We have performed with our band for 27 years, releasing cds almost yearly.
We tour castles, UNESCO sites and historical theaters with our 7 piece band and play a wide variety of music from Renaissance to Rock to Folk to ballads and instrumentals. We wear garb from another time and encourage our audience to do the same to be a part of the journey.

I have been lucky enough to do duets with some incredible bands like Avantasia (Moonglow);
Dartgnanan (We're Gonna Be Drinking); Helloween (Light the Universe); Tribute to Yes (Don't Kill The Whale with Brian Auger); Carole King Tribute (Its Too Late with Dweezil Zappa); Beto Vasquez Infinity (Promises Under The Rain with Tarja Turunen and Sabina Edelsbacher); Story of Aina (with Glen Hughes) ; Street of Dreams with Joe Lyn Turner ; Rainbow (Ariel) as well as contributing backing vocals on many songs including with William Shatner and many more.
I have also released solo cds entitled: Reflections and Starlight ,Starbright with a new one to be released later this year.
I am blessed to be living my dream and so happy to be collaborating with animal charities worldwide to help raise funds, awareness and supplies for shelters with each tour date we perform.
