About this concert
Harlem Hayfield -
For some, finding the roots that truly ground us is a lifelong journey. For Harlem Hayfield, a six-piece music group based in Decatur, Illinois, that journey begins and ends with embracing their true identities: musicians, collaborators, and, perhaps most importantly, friends. Hailing from a sparsely populated factory town filled with more memories than people, the band blends eclectic music influences with personal life lessons, resulting in a groove-centric genre they describe as “rustbelt soul.” Their sound encompasses elements of southern rock, funk-infused abandon reminiscent of the 70s, and harmonies that also evoke a throwback nostalgia while maintaining a modern edge. At all times however, Harlem Hayfield creates music that makes the listener feel something.
LOA -
In three short years, LOA have established themselves as pioneers of a uniquely immersive, transcendent sonic experience — a fitting reputation that channels the hypnotic rituals and voodoo spirits to which their name pays homage.
The Common Shamans -
The Common Shamans are an alternative rock trio formed in 2022 consisting of singer/guitarist Max Salvans, bassist Alonzo Kiefner & drummer Ike Ponce. Their original music tends to be riff or chord based rock characterized by shifts from light to heavy dynamics, folk and grunge inspired vocal deliveries, and extensive guitar soloing over melodic bass lines. They also play covers of classic and alternative rock artists such as Nirvana, Neil Young, Primus, and the Doors.
