About this concert
Polyphonic and Polyrhythmic Vocals
An inspiring vocal workshop for all people who love to sing with little or more experience.
Led by Dr Gino Sitson, this workshop will take you on a journey of traditional African polyphonies and polyrhythmics with jazz. The exploration of "circle songs": Superposition and spontaneous mix of patterns or small melodic phrases will be repeated in a loop. These polyphonies also enable a possible support for improvisation and a creation of energizing moments of extreme richness. We will work with harmony & body, rhythmic voice work, interpretation and freedom.
