In 1997, armed with a keyboard gifted by his mother, Robert embarked on a remarkable journey that harmoniously fused his unwavering dedication to music with his duty to serve his country in the United States Air Force. By day, he operated heavy equipment, but by night, he honed his musical craft, a journey that set the stage for something extraordinary.

The turning point arrived in 2002 when Robert auditioned for and embarked on an international tour with the Air Force's premier entertainment ensemble, Tops in Blue. During this transformative year, Robert mastered the art of forging deep connections with audiences, captivating military troops and their families across 23 different countries. This unique experience instilled in him the power of music to transcend borders and speak to the hearts of people worldwide.

His versatile style has graced stages both grand and intimate, from captivating televised halftime shows to opening acts for renowned artists like Tony Terry, Howard Hewitt, and Alabama. San Antonio, TX, served as the backdrop for Robert's illustrious career, where he earned recognition as the 2015 Air Force Entertainer of the Year and received a nomination for the prestigious Bob Hope Spirit of Hope Award. Following his dedicated service in the Air Force, Robert continued to showcase his unwavering devotion, delivering a moving rendition of the national anthem during the 2020 NBA playoffs Game 5 between the Denver Nuggets and LA Clippers, a heartfelt commemoration of September 11 in the midst of the challenging Covid pandemic.
