Join us on Tuesday, May 28 as Damaged Disco presents the alternative dream pop of Joy Downer at Gold-Diggers! Joy Downer’s music can be heard in numerous television and film productions including the original theme song for the Netflix series Spinning Out. She has performed multiple times on the Late Late Show with James Corden and released the song "Chain Reaction" featuring Beck in April 2022. Her debut album Paper Moon was written, recorded, and produced by Joy and her husband Jeff Downer at their home in West Adams. The album, along with recent singles “Alright” and “Ships” is available everywhere. Early show at 8 p.m. with dance party to follow! Resident DJ DAT68 spinning minimal wave, dark disco, indie dance and synth pop. Damaged Disco night is a monthly event with live performances of minimal synth and post-punk artists curated by the Damaged Disco label, happening on the last Tuesday of each month at Gold-Diggers.
