The Karma Effect

On Tuesday 7th May from 7pm, the band will participate in a sponsored hot sauce challenge at DB Shack in Basildon, pushing the limits of their spice endurance as seen on the popular YouTube series Hot Ones - including trying a sauce that contains PepperX, the Guinness World Record-breaking chilli pepper - in aid of raising money for UK male mental health charity TalkClub. Talk Club’s ambassadors include Liam Gallagher, Idles and Richard Hammond. The event will be streamed live via The Karma Effect's Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/thekarmaeffectuk Explaining the rationale behind the event, which takes place during Talk Club’s mental fitness month, frontman Henry Gottelier says: “This really is something quite personal to me, as I have had some pretty hard struggles and I know a few of the boys [in the band] have, too. I think it’s important that we break those stigmas and stereotypes that surround men’s mental health and get young men talking.” The Karma Effect are accepting donations via JustGiving . All proceeds will be donated to Talk Club in support of their work in running peer-to-peer talking groups, talking therapy sessions and mental fitness training.
