Strawberry Fair is one of the UK's biggest free volunteer-run festivals which is open to the public, held every year at Midsummer Common, Cambridge since 1974. The festival hosts several stages of music and entertainment, stalls for independent vendors of arts and crafts as well as several bars and food stalls catering to all. Strawberry Fair is back on Saturday 1st June 2024 - and this year's theme is 50 Years of Strawberry Fair! That's right, it's our birthday! Strawberry Fair has always been a feast for music lovers and this year is no exception. As well as music all day at the Shady Nasty stage, there will also be a full day of music at the Rebel Love stage, the Flying Pig stage, the CamBuskers stage, the CEM stage, the Revolting Youth stage, and in our largest indoor stage - the Portland Stage and Bar. We are also extremely pleased to introduce a new stage this year, the CALM stage! In addition to a day of music, Scarecrow Corner is also home to a range of community and social awareness stalls and anything from massage to storytelling all around the Druid circle, and the Strawberry Fair Café will be serving tea, coffee and cakes throughout the day. All of this plus our dedicated 'Kidz Park' for children and families, and the Arts Area - it's a day not to be missed! The Fair is preceded by a parade through the city of Cambridge which starts around 11am and arrives on Midsummer Common at 12pm for the grand opening. The parade features costumes galore, stilt walkers, street performers and more.
