About this concert
We are playing a full ALBUM PREVIEW LIVE SHOW with all of the new unheard music off of our upcoming album 'Shuna'.
We are so sad about the closing of the Jazz Bar! It would have been a great venue for our debut gig but the Traverse Theatre also has a piano and is a beautiful room so we are happy! (The same stage as played by inspirational giants Espen Eriken Trio)
Also, this way we get to book have our friends The Jellyman's Daughter play before as support and make a full night of it!!!
"Sekoya is an interdisciplinary trio combining their Scots intonation of Europe’s version of the international language of Jazz with articulate rhythms and soulful grooves to create a genre-defying musical entanglement uniquely their own. Vibrant Celtic-inspired piano melodies are interwoven with flowing bass lines over a foundation of propulsive drums creating an almost cinematic sound. The amalgam of these three instrumentalists is a singular sonic spirit, with a focus on energy and interplay." - David Hagen Media
Simon Toner - Double Bass
Gavin Lamont - Drums
Luke Cunningham - Piano/Keys
Alastair Kampff - Sound Engineer
The Jellyman's Daughter - Support Band
