About this concert
Leeds-based post-hardcore groovers Caskets announce their return to Australia for the May 2024 Reflections Tour, their first string of Australian headline shows, celebrating the release of last year's sophomore album of the same name. The tour also welcomes special guests The Home Team (US), who will be visiting the country for the very first time. Just shy of a year since they debuted their live show to Aus audiences supporting Windwaker on the near-sold out Love In The Dark Tour, Caskets return to solidify their mark on Australia as they celebrate their latest album, Reflections, released last year via SharpTone Records. Winning over fans from across the nation last July, the band's May tour will see them play seven shows across Australia - and the band couldn't be more stoked to be back! "Coming to Australia to play our own headline shows is more than a dream come true!" says vocalist Matt Flood."It’s something every musician dreams of but never really expects it to become a reality. We’re very proud and very lucky to have this opportunity to come back to Australia and rip up some shows with some insanely talented bands; but first, I must hug a koala!" Embracing vulnerability through their music, Caskets established an intricate blend of melody and riffs early on with their 2016 introductory EP ‘Ghost Like You’ and 2021's debut album 'Lost Souls'. Fast forward a few years, the band hone in on their sound with sophomore album, 'Reflections'. A series of individual lessons, each track on the Dan Weller (Holding Absence, Bury Tomorrow) produced ‘Reflections’ looks back at a specific moment in one of the band member’s lives; a thought, feeling or events, and how that moment shaped the present. Caskets look forward to connecting and sharing heartfelt genuine moments with their fans down under with their freshly equipped new tunes. "Make sure you nab a ticket so you can come and celebrate with us in style!" says Flood. Joining the bill as main support is Seattle heavy-pop rockers The Home Team, who are travelling to Australia for the very first time on the Reflections Tour. The quartet have introduced stylings of R&B, pop and funk into their music in an effort to be true to their tastes while crafting their unique sound. Going to great lengths to be creatively genuine with their audience, The Home Team has been rewarded many times over with an extremely dedicated and passionate fan base and have previously shared stages with bands to the likes of Don Broco, Senses Fail, Real Friends and The Used. Releasing immersive albums 'Better Off' and 'Slow Bloom', this enigmatic band will continue to grow and evolve their music for the purpose of creating something unlike anything that has come before.

Bad/Love Biography

‘Mono No Aware - Part I’ is the third studio EP from Melbourne Emocore quartet Bad/Love set for release on April 21st, 2023. The term ‘Mono No Aware’ is a Japanese term meaning the aching awareness of impermanence, a feeling that has swept humanity over the last few years when faced with disease, poverty, war and sadness. The 3 EPs cover a range of topics and each release musically links to the feelings of anger, sorrow & acceptance, the first of which harnesses the power of anger. Mono No Aware - Part I harnesses heavy musical elements and anthems for those who are angry at the state of the world.

The Melbourne quartet have received acclaim with Triple J, having two songs (Social Suicide & Feel Good) landing rotation on the station, as well as Triple J Unearthed championing the band, naming them an Artist To Watch in 2022 as well as a Feature Artist segment in 2021. Despite the majority of their career spent locked away during the pandemic, the band have performed with Sleeping With Sirens, Dream On Dreamer, Alpha Wolf, Stepson & The Brave, as well as performing at UNIFY Festival.

Bad/Love is Landon Kirk (Vocals), Lachlan Monty (Guitars), Martin Wood (Bass) & Luke Weber (Drums) and features ex-members of Make Them Suffer, Dream On Dreamer, Earth Caller & Wither.
