ShadowGrass is a young jamgrass quartet from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and Virginia rapidly earning a heavy reputation for ferocious picking and fresh arrangements. They are propelling the bluegrass genre forward by looking outside the box while still maintaining a sense of reverence for traditional instrumentation. It’s rare to witness a young jamgrass unit possessing this caliber of refined, explosive talent. Whenever they take the stage, there’s a sense that the typical boundaries of bluegrass will be pushed to the brink and beyond. Each member of the band grew up in a culturally rich area of traditional string music, which heavily influences their approach. Feeding off of each other’s ever-flowing ideas and energy, their music is a constantly evolving entity drawing audiences deeper and deeper at every show. Already having shared the stage with Billy Strings and appeared on major festival lineups including WinterWonderGrass and the upcoming Rhythms on the Rio, Shadowgrass is quickly becoming one of the most buzzworthy names on the jamgrass scene. We are thrilled to announce that Kyle Ledson will be joining the party on this occasion. This is the exact sort of event on which Kyle cut his teeth here at the Crazy Horse back in 2019 when he was only 18. Now making major waves around the western hemisphere with his band Broken Compass Bluegrass, this mandolin and flatpicking phenom is on a trajectory to the moon. He’ll be playing solo sets before and in between ShadowGrass which will be the ultimate showcase for his brilliant songwriting, rich vocal range and blossoming showmanship.
