Hashigata Biography
Hashigata is Puerto Rican and Dominican and was raised in Brooklyn, New York. She attended Williams Alexander Middle school and Brooklyn High School of the arts where she sang in choir and performed in shows. Singing has been her passion since before it dawned on her of what it means to have a passion. It was her way of disappearing from hardship and started off as a bi-product of intense emotions that she was not able to express as a young girl. Now, as an adult, it has become her first language and preferred form of communication. Music is her connection to peace and spirit. Hashigata uses music to help others invoke their own emotions that need to be released and hopes to bring all her listeners to a place of self-knowing and healing. The best kind of music moves your spirit, reminds you of your power within, and your divine connection to the universe.
