Le Sigh Biography

Le Sigh is the dream-inducing safety of the warm side of the bed, the ambient silence at the bottom of the ocean, the gentle careen of the clouds overhead. It soothes. It relaxes. It breathes.

This is the essence of Le Sigh, the solo project by Steve Molter, known for his work as a founding member of Beware of Safety, as well as solo project ::thinkstandard::, and duos The Azure Vault and Automatic Hangout Partner.

Le Sigh’s compositions offer more than just sound—they envelop the listener in a cocoon of tranquility.

Molter’s journey into music began in the wintry landscapes of New England, where he transformed the harsh chills into a passion that burned brightly. His musical odyssey, fueled by the sounds of 90s alternative rock and a handful of DOD guitar pedals, led him through basement jam sessions, high school rock bands, and poetic nights with a pen in hand. In the early-00s, Steve ventured westward, his guitars in tow, towards the sunny promises of California.

In California, Molter’s musical narrative flourished with diverse projects and tours across the United States and Europe. His experiences are not limited to music; they extend into visual arts and writing, capturing his travels and thoughts in photographs and prose that resonate with audiences internet-wide.

Le Sigh represents not just a chapter, but the ongoing evolution of Molter’s artistry. It is where his visions of quietude and calm converge into soundscapes that resonate with tranquility and the assurance of a night well-rested. Le Sigh invites listeners to a journey of soothing sounds and introspective silences—perfect for those seeking solace in the hustle of the modern world.

However, not everything about Le Sigh is serene and rosy. For those seeking a darker path, Molter's Loops for Nightmares trilogy offers a counterpoint to his other work. Exploring the depths of fear, malaise, and trepidation, Molter finds an outlet for the restless nights and troublesome days.
