David Emde Biography
Catchy melodies and thoughtful poetry are the passion and craft of German award-winning songwriter David Emde. The 24 year-old singer & pianist loves traveling through all kinds of musical universes, regularly bringing you short stories to dance, think or vibe to. Based in his hometown Alzey in Rhineland-Palatinate, David bluntly writes and records what he thinks and feels.
Growing up taking piano lessons, the pioneer never saw any sense or fun in playing sheet music. Almost by accident, he trained himself to play any popular song by ear instead. At the age of 18, David started taking vocal lessons and produced his first own pieces.
In the following years, the music university graduate has found countless likeminded artists, supporters in the industry and a solid base of nearly half a million monthly listeners. In 2023, David was honored with the German Songwriting Award (EDM) for his locally well-known piece „Skyline“.
This April, David founded his own music school „Musikfabrik“ in Alzey, where he helps people of all ages in songwriting/producing, singing, ear training and piano.
The musician’s goal is to show the world that mistakes are never a bad thing, but rather necessary to learn and evolve. David encourages his fans, colleagues and students to always be themselves, no matter what others think.
