Nikita Halley Biography
Born to parents with German, French and Czech roots, Nikita grew up in between countries—with music creating her save haven from early on rather than a certain location. Imbued with the magic of the psychedelic subculture of the 60s as well as a variety of British Indie and Pop bands, the scene’s vulnerable display of emotions and raw musical qualities inspired Halley deeply and led her to pack her bags and relocate from Europe to London in her early 20's.
Influenced by the before-mentioned roots, it is Nikita’s distinctive vision and innate, otherworldly ethereal style that make up the basis of her own work which she started studio-recording and releasing in the end of 2022, with the recent highlight of the release of her first EP in January 2024. In Nikita's music, we get brutally, almost naively honest yet poetic lyrics, delivered by a warm, clear and serene voice on a bed of dreamy synthesisers accompanied by melodic guitar riffs.
Nikita Halley’s music and performances deliver a certain melancholia underlined by a subtle, yet pervasive hopefulness. She doesn't shy away from using her work to highlight how things are in our world as well as her own inner life—in fact, the emphasis of the truth of our human experiences is what drives her. Moving away from geopolitics and the constant rush of modern society towards what truly counts for us as human beings: The motions of our hearts and souls.
