About this concert
Fern Fest is a music festival specifically curated to drive connection and foster community for women, trans and non-binary folks, and those that live on the spectrum of the feminine spirit.
It is a priority at Fern Fest to create an inclusive and equitable environment where everyone in our community can show up as their authentic selves. We are on a collective journey to learn and grow together in order to build that space.
The inspiration for Fern Fest came from the desire to evolve the experience of a women’s festival and expand the vision into an inclusive, sustainable space. We want to continue to find our community, specifically women, nonbinary and trans folks, in the context of a music festival and expand access the healing and connection during a week in the Michigan woods. So many have brought their unique inspiration to the process of bringing Fern Fest to life. We may have some shared identities or similar lived experiences but making the decision to show up and connect with each other is what’s special.
We hope you’ll join us for this beautiful experience.

The Rebel Eves Biography
With beginnings in early 2020, The Rebel Eves (formerly known as The Nashigan Trio) is a band that was formed from the joy of connection, love of creativity, and ultimately from a place of knowing too well that the gift of making music is not something to be taken for granted, especially as women. Composed of three Michigan bred award winning songwriters-Katie Pederson, Grace Theisen and Jilian Linklater-the women have spent the better part of the last decade writing, touring, and singing across the country, as solo artists, landing between Nashville, TN and Michigan. After the hardships of 2020/2021 prevented the experience of performing live music in traditional ways, the three women decided to create a stripped-down acoustic show where vulnerability, connectivity and authenticity lead the way both in their stories and in their music. It was through that first “Nashigan” tour where they realized the immense potential they had to connect more with their audiences together as a trio, which led them to form The Rebel Eves.
This launched three midwest tours in 2023 as an official band that resulted in multiple sold out shows where they were able to grow their fans across state lines and sell out of their merchandise several times. They have played venues in Michigan such as Bell’s Eccentric Cafe, The Ark, Midtown GR and 20 Front Street as well as the iconic Bluebird Cafe and The Listening Room in Nashville, TN.
Over the last year, they have been leaning further into writing honestly as women in an often times male dominated industry. Their first single, “Heaven Without You,” was widely received, with a portion of proceeds from streaming and single purchases going to the TN Equality Project, which works to address equality for the LGBTQ+ community in Tennessee and beyond. The trio has a main goal of being empowering to, and empowered by one another and their listeners and have won over the hearts of their audiences with their honest story telling, hair raising harmonies, and compelling lyricism that makes for true listening room moments attendees won’t soon forget. The trio began recording their debut self titled album during the spring of 2023 and have raised almost all of their recording funds through fan donations. Their highly anticipated next single, First Place, was decided on after an Instagram vote, where fans expressed their excitement through votes. First Place will be out on all streaming platforms on February 21. To learn more about The Rebel Eves and where they will be performing and get tickets, visit www.therebeleves.com.
