"The Swingles: Live" The Swingles have been challenging the boundaries of vocal music for over 60 years. Their unique sound quickly established them as one of the world’s most beloved and admired vocal groups, winning 5 Grammy® awards, and their sophisticated arrangements remain unparalleled to this day. The current seven singers are masters of their craft, constantly seeking new ways to reimagine music from jazz, folk, classical and pop genres. Their fans span several generations, with each live performance capturing the hearts of audience members across the globe. The Swingles have appeared on numerous film and TV soundtracks, recently including ‘Sex and the City’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Glee’. In 2017, they co-wrote and performed a song for the end credits of Alexander Payne’s film ‘Downsizing’, and in 2021 sang on Disney’s blockbuster, ‘Cruella’. With their trademark vocal dexterity and innate musicality, the group’s secret ingredient is the ability of the seven singers, soloists, songwriters and storytellers to combine as one seamlessly blended and timeless sound. The Swingles are Mallika Bhagwat (India/UK), Joanna Goldsmith-Eteson (UK), Katelyn Dietz (USA), Oliver Griffiths (UK), Owen Butcher (UK), Jamie Wright (UK), and Tom Hartley (UK). Joanna Goldsmith-Eteson makes her return to Alleyn's School as a former student of the school. The performance will also feature appearances by current students in the vocal groups "Schola" & "Alleynian Blues"
